A reflective piece

The Lord my reflection

My True reflection

My real image

My real being

My Core and Centre

My innermost parts

Not the shedding skin

Nor the inners or sheen

Not my stature or even nature

Your presence is my place

My place of Me

My place of being Me

My place of seeing Me

My place of finding Me

Your presence – My Place

Every time, I come - You Show

Every time I come to you

You Show Up

You Show Off

With Open hands – You Show Up

With the Right Tools – You Show Up

With a full basket – You Show Up

Never empty – You always Show up

You asked Me: What is it that you have in your hands?

You slain the animal to cover me in Adam

You gave Egypt to Babylon, for my ransom

You gave Ethiopia and Seba for my release

Surely, You Show Up for Me

You Show Up and You Show Off

So when you and your Executive team sat down

When you Decided, Proclaimed and Fashioned me

You actually, crafted You, in Me

Now, all I see in You - Is Me

The Me that is You

The Me, that you created

In Your Image

In Your Likeness

Ka Tshobotsi ya hao,

Hi xifaniso xa wena

You reflected yourself to the world – through me

How is it that when I come to You

I find myself

I discover my make up

I remember our work travels

Because you carried me when you were fashioning the world

I remember that first reflection of light

It amazed me

I could not remember anything more beautiful

It was like opening my eyes for the first time

I remember how quickly the darkness escaped when light came

I remember witnessing the waters, hills and everything else being grateful

The plants started opening up and took in what the light brought in

The warmth, the comfort, the assurance, the beauty

The very reason to bloom, to excel and Be

This light seemed to accentuate the significance of everything else

I had never seen anything more beautiful, more graceful, more purposeful

I remember then feeling a great sense of familiarity to this light

In your soft character and without even saying any word

You reminded me that this light emanates from you

All that is good and perfect, comes from you

Scientists identify reflective nature with light

Little do they know that it is your light

O mpone Moipone!

Business Interests

Business is not so much about independence or even making a lot of money but Really about creating the elusive balance between Time and Money...

My background is in IT Service Management, Risk and Governance and have served in the Financial Services industry for over 15 years; but over the years, have nurtured entrepreneurial exposure in the Events, Transport and Property industries. I therefore have come to believe that a great source of personal development and the best Business School is not in the pews of lecture halls but rather in the trenches where You Make the sale. There's really nothing like birthing and subsequently building a business...

My current focus is in multiple industries that I believe will fare well in the fourth industrial age. More specifically - Personal Development, Health & Nutrition, Beauty & Anti-ageing and of-course technology through disintermediation and communication.

Which one of these primary motivating factors resonates with you the most?

Is Helping Other People closest to your heart or do prioritize Financial Freedom because you believe that everything else will just fall into place once secured?
Are you socially inclined and just want to constantly Meet New People or inward looking for Personal Development?
Is Retirement possible within the next few years, irrespective of your current age OR do you just want More Spare Time to do what you want?
Do you enjoy the politics and thrill of climbing the corporate ladder or are you now at a point of developing your Own Business?
Will Extra nyana Income help you or do you just want to make a difference and Leave a lasting Legacy?

WHAT DO YOU WANT?
HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?
BY WHEN?

The woman: good, understanding, beautiful, countenance

Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail; and the woman was of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb   - - - 1 Samuel 4: 1 - 42

This story relates a story of a woman by the name Abigail. She acted proactively to save her household and eventually got into the Kingdom. The bible makes use of words such as beautiful countenancegood understanding to describe this wise woman. I’d like to take some extra time to review some truth from the word of God regarding women. We will look at each of these words words to understand and highlight the wonderful aspects of you – Woman. The first word is Beautiful. Beauty has and I guess will always be a connotation to womanhood. God; in his wisdom created a creature to be so beautiful that all a man could say when she was presented is: Whoa-man! I was asking myself this question: Why do people put up flowers in the middle of the room? The common answer will be: Decoration. They are making the room to be vibrant, attractive, inspiring, interesting – They are beautifying it. It’s also interesting that people who put do decorations are usually woman. You’re happy with your couch and TV but she thinks you need a table and a flower pot as well. Why? She’s beauty. Really – Beauty is her name (Do you remember that Dru-Hill song: Beauty). Every man I know seems to think his wife is more beautiful than any other woman alive. I think they are all right – every woman is beautiful. They are beautiful in different levels. Amongst other reasons we also marry women because of some element of beauty that we have seen in them. It might be the smile that literally lights up the room or perhaps her voice that you’ve associated with tranquility or maybe her choice of words that always bring about hope. As I’m sure you know; beauty is not restricted to external looks but also (in my experience) internal attributes. Abigail was blessed to have both aspects of beauty and I personally think one influenced the other. She was a Beautiful Woman. If you’re a woman and are reading this…please reflect and project. Make it your mission to make a difference and introduce your charisma, beauty..in every situation. Similar to the way you smarten up the room with the flowers, do likewise for other situations. If you see people fighting – call peace. If you notice a sad face, tell them a joke. If a little child is crying for any reason - lean to their level and give them a kiss. Okay – I’m trying to say this one thing here: Make a difference, where you are!

The Secrecy Bill: A bleak existence if we remain inert

My cursor kept flashing at me as I attempted to write this piece. I contemplated because of my young family; since I recently got married and have a two year old daughter to protect from the outcome of my vista. This fear is exactly what I want to project hence my resolution to forge ahead.

Firstly let me say this; I don’t consider myself to be politically affiliated with any organisation; since I’ve lost trust in the party of my people and there seems to be no viable alternative, needless to say, I don’t have any membership card/s. I’m not looking for any convincing from spokesperson or PRO because my vote is an emotional one and goes to the party that resembles hope for my Child and our beautiful continent. I’m not a reporter or even a prolific writer but just an ordinary young black man who has a deep-seated concern for the direction of our country. I always make a conscious decision to vote because I understand that the outcome does not only affect us politically but also physically, financially...and to some extent spiritually. The impact is felt across Africa, since we form part of the leadership of the greater NEPAD, AU and SADC organizations which are necessary pillars for our continent.
